The jury is out on the Buccaneers. For now, C+. Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Quincy Rhodes Jr. at pick No. 15 is 28 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline.
Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. However the rest shakes out, Cole at that price is a win they earned.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Quincy Rhodes Jr.
In slot 15 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare, a steep price for the projection. A real need, handled.
Pick46
Rnd2
Chris Cole
They read the board right and Chris Cole was the payoff at the Round 2 slot. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick77
Rnd3
Trey'Dez Green
This one needs a full-page explanation: Trey'Dez Green in Round 3, Pick 13, miles early. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
