A masterclass at the trade table lands the Jaguars a B. Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Jaguars spent the 244th overall pick on Clayton Smith, a name the board had a full 71 spots lower.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. That Slaughter pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
