The phones sank the Browns this weekend: D. Nobody else had Troy Bowles anywhere near the 241st pick. The Browns did, by 63 spots, and that gap is the whole story.
They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.
The Brown value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.
