A masterclass at the trade table lands the Jaguars a B. If confidence were a draft strategy, the Jaguars would have aced it. Patrick Payton at Round 4, Pick 38 is 64 spots clear of where he belonged. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
The phones were where this weekend was really won. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. Landing Weigman that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
With interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on edge rusher is the choice that costs them.
