A costly weekend of dealing drags the Jets to a D.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Jets did exactly that with Troy Bowles in Round 7, Pick 9.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Nussmeier pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
