You can draft well and still miss the point. The Lions did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to offensive lineman, which was the need that mattered most.

The cost of the Moore reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The back end got a real overhaul.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the offensive lineman spot they never got to.
