There is conviction, and then there is this. The Saints took Nadame Tucker a full 41 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Lane.

Leaving offensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
