You can draft well and still miss the point. The Chargers did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to edge rusher, which was the need that mattered most.

The Fuller pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
