Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureC+
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Jaguars and Hill Jr.: B+.

The trade table was a mismatch, and the Jaguars were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.

They banked enough surplus on Hill Jr. to cover a lot of smaller sins. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Green has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick51 Rnd2 Caleb Banks
They let Caleb Banks come to them and pounced at pick No. 51. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick60 Rnd2 Anthony Hill Jr.
You do not let a linebacker like Anthony Hill Jr. reach Round 2, Pick 28 and blink. They did not. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick73 Rnd3 Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
Steal is underselling it; Emmanuel McNeil-Warren at the 73rd overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick88 Rnd3 Connor Lew
A clean, defensible pick in pick 88 with a little surplus value in Connor Lew. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick108 Rnd4 Bryce Lance
They barely believed it either: Bryce Lance still on the board at the Round 4 slot. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick127 Rnd4 Davison Igbinosun
Davison Igbinosun is a better player than No. 127 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick128 Rnd4 Kaleb Proctor
Kaleb Proctor in the Round 4 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick138 Rnd4 Zxavian Harris
A conviction pick on Zxavian Harris at pick No. 138 that the board grades a round light. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick153 Rnd5 Beau Stephens
They took Beau Stephens at par in Round 5, Pick 13, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick164 Rnd5 Kage Casey
Good price on Kage Casey in pick 164, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick166 Rnd5 Taylen Green
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Taylen Green. It fills a real need, too.
Pick169 Rnd5 Domani Jackson
No edge and no loss on Domani Jackson in the 169th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick203 Rnd6 Jeff Caldwell
Value with a capital V on Jeff Caldwell in the 203rd pick, a genuine coup. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick210 Rnd6 Dallen Bentley
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Dallen Bentley at No. 210 is the proof. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
