Call it larceny. A.J. Haulcy sat on the board until the 83rd overall pick, and the Panthers did not need to be asked twice. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.
