Draft Grade — Bills

Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Bills. Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Bills never addressed linebacker, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Moss. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
Jordyn Tyson
In Round 1, Pick 23 they get a true top target at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick54
Rnd2
Dillon Thieneman
Dillon Thieneman at No. 54 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the safety. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick88
Rnd3
Domonique Orange
Domonique Orange slipping to slot 88 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick123
Rnd4
Chris Johnson
Chris Johnson at the 123rd overall pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick161
Rnd5
Jaden Greathouse
Jaden Greathouse slid further than he should have, and pick No. 161 is lovely value for the wide receiver. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick221
Rnd7
Miller Moss
A tidy bit of business in the Round 7 slot, where Miller Moss graded well above the range. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick230
Rnd7
Pat Coogan
A straight-up fair deal on Pat Coogan at pick 230, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
