Draft Grade — Giants
Overall A-
ValueB NeedB TradesA FutureA+
The Giants won the night they stopped Thieneman from sliding. Grade: A-.

You could see the war room lean forward. Dillon Thieneman at the 60th overall pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Zuhn III pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

The Gabe Davis deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Bottom line, with Avieon Terrell leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Avieon Terrell
In No. 26 they get a sticky cover corner at a price that makes it sweeter.
Pick37 Rnd2 Anthony Hill Jr.
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Anthony Hill Jr.. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick60 Rnd2 Dillon Thieneman
They barely believed it either: Dillon Thieneman still on the board at slot 60. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick91 Rnd3 Ja'Kobi Lane
You do not let a wide receiver like Ja'Kobi Lane reach pick No. 91 and blink. They did not. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick105 Rnd4 Joe Royer
A slide stopped in Round 4, Pick 5, with Joe Royer worth more than the price. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick143 Rnd5 Kyle Louis
They took Kyle Louis at par in the 143rd pick, which is nothing to complain about. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick184 Rnd6 Trey Zuhn III
They paid a round early for Trey Zuhn III in the 184th overall pick, more than the board wanted. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick190 Rnd6 DJ Harvey
Nothing to complain about; DJ Harvey went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It fills a real need, too.
Pick195 Rnd6 Desmond Reid
Desmond Reid at slot 195 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
