The board owed the 49ers one, and it paid up: Iapani Laloulu, the No. 103 name on the board, sitting there at Round 4, Pick 33 like a gift left on the doorstep. No fireworks, but a solid B.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They are betting Thomas proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.
