FutureC
The Bills fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B. Whoever sat across the table from the Bills should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
If Brown pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Styles falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick Analysis
Pick55
Rnd2
Sonny Styles
Sonny Styles slid further than he should have, and No. 55 is lovely value for the linebacker. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick56
Rnd2
Dillon Thieneman
Dillon Thieneman in the Round 2 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It fills a real need, too.
Pick87
Rnd3
Eric Singleton Jr.
They did well to land Eric Singleton Jr. in Round 3, Pick 23, just ahead of his grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick88
Rnd3
Nyck Harbor
By-the-book stuff, Nyck Harbor at the 88th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick164
Rnd5
Aamil Wagner
A reach for Aamil Wagner in pick 164; a little patience would have been rewarded. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick221
Rnd7
Barion Brown
Barion Brown in the 221st pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick230
Rnd7
Malik Hartford
Malik Hartford in pick No. 230 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
