The search is over. The Raiders handed the keys to Fernando Mendoza, and the whole operation now runs on his development.

Every board in the league had Shelton lower, and that gap is the story. Bell falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
