The Commanders spent real capital to be 62 picks early on Malachi Lawrence, and the board is going to hold them to it. No fireworks, but a solid B.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Slaughter at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
