The Commanders looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Malachi Lawrence at Round 3, Pick 25 regardless, 58 picks early.

The Wheatley pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
