Best value of the weekend goes to the Cardinals for Washington: A. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Cardinals were there to profit. Malik Washington, the No. 120 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 7 slot. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A.
The phones were where this weekend was really won. The Newton pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, tight end and other spots still on the board. Allen has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
