Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Eagles let Lew fall and pounced. Final grade: B-.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Eagles watched Connor Lew slide 38 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Mesidor reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Akheem Mesidor
In the Round 1 slot they get a problem off the edge, reach and all. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick54 Rnd2 Eli Stowers
Eli Stowers in pick 54 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick68 Rnd3 Omar Cooper Jr.
A slide stopped in the 68th pick, with Omar Cooper Jr. worth more than the price. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick98 Rnd3 Connor Lew
They robbed the room for Connor Lew here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick122 Rnd4 Will Lee III
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Will Lee III at pick No. 122. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick137 Rnd4 Bud Clark
Bud Clark at slot 137 is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick179 Rnd5 Zane Durant
Zane Durant at No. 179 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the interior defensive lineman. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick185 Rnd6 Taylen Green
Taylen Green in the 185th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick201 Rnd6 Josh Cameron
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Josh Cameron in pick 201. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
