The Panthers' one glaring miss is wide receiver, a need they left exactly as they found it. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The Scott steal is the beam this whole class leans on. If Barton pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Job largely done: cornerback settled and 6 of 9 of the wish list covered.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
