The one they had to fix is still broken. The Patriots left interior defensive lineman untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.

That is a tight end worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
