Best value of the weekend goes to the Vikings for Caldwell: B. Somebody in No. 220 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Vikings sat still while Jeff Caldwell, the No. 193 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
