A sensible, unshowy class lands the 49ers a B.

The 49ers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Nick Emmanwori fell into the Round 2 slot.

McLaughlin has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The 49ers indulged a want in Castro while a need in interior defensive lineman, quarterback and other spots stayed open.

They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
