Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Patriots spent pick No. 198 on Kaelon Black, a name the board had a full 29 spots lower. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The Orange steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
