The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Browns reached some 76 spots for Kaleb Elarms-Orr, and value like that does not grow back. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The Caldwell pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

On the needs board they went 9 of 9, with quarterback the one that mattered most.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
