The Cowboys spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Spencer Fano, the No. 10 name on the board, in pick No. 92. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The Mesidor pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at wide receiver, linebacker and other spots. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
