giannis31! DRAFTING FOR THEVikings
Draft Grade — Vikings

FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Vikings. The war room fell hard for Mike Washington Jr., and it showed at pick 49: 24 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Getting Lawson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
They left with safety solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The back end got a real overhaul.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Dillon Thieneman
In slot 18 they get a ballhawk on the back end, though they paid up to get him. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick49
Rnd2
Mike Washington Jr.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Mike Washington Jr. this early at the 49th pick. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick82
Rnd3
Daylen Everette
A straight-up fair deal on Daylen Everette at the Round 3 slot, value and slot in agreement. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick97
Rnd3
Deontae Lawson
The board had Deontae Lawson higher than No. 97, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
