FOXY KNOXY DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B-
ValueB+
NeedB-
TradesB-
FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Seahawks: B-. Priorities are a choice, and the Seahawks made a strange one, taking Jalon Kilgore at cornerback in pick 96 with edge rusher, wide receiver and other spots crying out for the pick instead. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Terrell value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Avieon Terrell
In the 32nd overall pick they get a sticky cover corner, outstanding value to boot. More want than need.
Pick64
Rnd2
Jadarian Price
No drama and no debate, Jadarian Price went about where he belonged in Round 2, Pick 32. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick96
Rnd3
Jalon Kilgore
The eyebrow-raiser of the weekend. They went cornerback with Jalon Kilgore while clear needs at edge rusher, wide receiver and other spots sat open.
Pick188
Rnd6
Keagen Trost
Keagen Trost at the Round 6 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
