Draft Grade — Giants
Overall

FutureB-
The Giants kept it disciplined and banked a B-. The rest of the league had time to spare on Keyshaun Elliott; the Giants did not wait, grabbing him 23 spots ahead at slot 191. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. That is a tight end worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick5
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
In the 5th pick they get a coverage-and-run second-level piece. More want than need.
Pick37
Rnd2
Kenyon Sadiq
Somehow Kenyon Sadiq was still sitting there in No. 37, and they pounced on premier tight end value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick105
Rnd4
Chandler Rivers
Chandler Rivers is a better player than Round 4, Pick 5 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick143
Rnd5
Jaeden Roberts
A reasonable price with a little left over, Jaeden Roberts in the 143rd overall pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick184
Rnd6
Tyren Montgomery
They let Tyren Montgomery come to them and pounced at pick No. 184. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick190
Rnd6
Eric McAlister
Eric McAlister at the Round 6 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick191
Rnd6
Keyshaun Elliott
Keyshaun Elliott at pick No. 191 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
