You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Buccaneers did exactly that with Jacob Rodriguez in Round 2, Pick 14.

The Rodriguez pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher, quarterback and other spots. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Dixon at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
