Nobody dealt better than the Bengals this weekend: B+.

The Bengals ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

The Haulcy pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at interior defensive lineman and quarterback. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

They banked enough surplus on Thieneman to cover a lot of smaller sins.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

In the Round 1 slot they get a coverage-and-run second-level piece, though they paid up to get him. A clean fit for the roster.
