The steal of the weekend belongs to the Saints and Echoles: B-.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Saints watched Will Echoles slide 56 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

They will need Cobb to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
