The Commanders did not so much draft Dominic Zvada as overpay for him, 98 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C+.

The Fitzgerald pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at quarterback and interior defensive lineman. Royer falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
