Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesF FutureA+
The Browns bled value on every deal, hence the B-.

The Logan Jones selection is the head-turner. The Browns reached 35 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. However the rest shakes out, Moore at that price is a win they earned. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Carnell Tate
In Round 1, Pick 18 they get a matchup problem out wide. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick24 Rnd1 Caleb Lomu
In the 24th pick they get protection for the quarterback at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick39 Rnd2 Omar Cooper Jr.
They liked Omar Cooper Jr. enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 39. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick70 Rnd3 Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
They barely believed it either: Emmanuel McNeil-Warren still on the board at slot 70. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick97 Rnd3 Logan Jones
A wild overpay on Logan Jones in pick No. 97, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick107 Rnd4 Devin Moore
They robbed the room for Devin Moore here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick134 Rnd4 Eli Raridon
Eli Raridon in Round 4, Pick 34 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. The roster fit checks out.
Pick144 Rnd5 Dametrious Crownover
A tidy bit of business in the 144th overall pick, where Dametrious Crownover graded well above the range. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
