If confidence were a draft strategy, the Dolphins would have aced it. Roman Hemby at the 194th overall pick is 75 spots clear of where he belonged. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Neal. The Dolphins indulged a want in Neal while a need in quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots stayed open.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
