There is conviction, and then there is this. The Saints took DJ Campbell a full 24 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Lee III. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
