Draft Grade — Panthers
Overall

A respectable, level-headed haul for the Panthers: B-. Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Skyler Bell at the 51st pick is 31 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline.
That is a tight end worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick19
Rnd1
T.J. Parker
In the Round 1 slot they get a premier pass rusher. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick51
Rnd2
Skyler Bell
A wild overpay on Skyler Bell in No. 51, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick83
Rnd3
Eli Stowers
They barely believed it either: Eli Stowers still on the board at Round 3, Pick 19. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
