Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall C+
ValueB- NeedB- TradesF FutureA
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Falcons to a C+.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Falcons, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.

Hunter has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.

Pick Analysis
Pick7 Rnd1 Jermod McCoy
In slot 7 they get an island corner at fair value. Need was not the driver here.
Pick42 Rnd2 Germie Bernard
A reach on Germie Bernard in Round 2, Pick 10; the board had better options right there. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick47 Rnd2 Dillon Thieneman
Dillon Thieneman at pick No. 47 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick73 Rnd3 Max Klare
Max Klare at the 73rd overall pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick85 Rnd3 Brian Parker II
A tidy little value on Brian Parker II in pick 85, a step better than break-even. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick110 Rnd4 Harold Perkins Jr.
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 4 slot with a little surplus value in Harold Perkins Jr.. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick190 Rnd6 Lee Hunter
Lee Hunter at the 190th pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick194 Rnd6 Isaiah Jatta
They took Isaiah Jatta at par in No. 194, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick224 Rnd7 Trey Zuhn III
Trey Zuhn III in the 224th overall pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
