The Titans fought the board and lost. D.

The Titans did not so much draft Johntay Cook as overpay for him, 267 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.

The Love pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The back end got a real overhaul.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
