Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
D-

TradesF
FutureC
The Seahawks got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D-. There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Seahawks started one anyway for Jacobe Johnson, 207 picks ahead of schedule.
Getting Bernard where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Harold Perkins Jr.
Harold Perkins Jr. at pick 32 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick64
Rnd2
Tanner Koziol
They left a pile of value on the table to take Tanner Koziol this early at slot 64. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick96
Rnd3
Jacobe Johnson
They reached a country mile for Jacobe Johnson at pick No. 96, and the board is aghast. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick143
Rnd5
Germie Bernard
You do not let a wide receiver like Germie Bernard reach No. 143 and blink. They did not. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick211
Rnd6
Alan Herron
A real head-scratcher, Alan Herron in the 211th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
