Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Titans a B-.

Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Titans never addressed edge rusher, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

Reaching for Laloulu left real value on the table behind him. The Miller pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The phones were busy but the ledger stayed level.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick4 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In the 4th pick they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker, though they paid up to get him. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick28 Rnd1 Mansoor Delane
In slot 28 they get an island corner. More want than need.
Pick33 Rnd2 Chris Bell
Chris Bell in Round 2, Pick 1 is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick35 Rnd2 Olaivavega Ioane
They jumped the gun on Olaivavega Ioane, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick65 Rnd3 Michael Taaffe
Michael Taaffe at the 65th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick101 Rnd4 Nicholas Singleton
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 101 with a little surplus value in Nicholas Singleton. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick141 Rnd5 Iapani Laloulu
A real head-scratcher, Iapani Laloulu in the Round 5 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick143 Rnd5 Blake Miller
The board had Blake Miller higher than pick 143, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick181 Rnd6 Duce Robinson
Duce Robinson at pick No. 181 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick240 Rnd7 Pat Coogan
They liked Pat Coogan enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 240. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
