You build a draft on nights like this. Fernando Mendoza had no business being available in slot 146, and the Chiefs did the only sane thing and turned in the card. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

O'Neill has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver.

Jordan Mason gives the group a proven body among the projects. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
