The Cowboys put a flag in the ground for Kalil Alexander, 69 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit.

The Kamara pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with cornerback, offensive lineman and other spots still on the board. They banked enough surplus on Roberts to cover a lot of smaller sins.

That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
