FutureB-
The Cardinals went off-script early, and it cost them a F. The Cardinals spent real capital to be 445 picks early on Jaden Platt, and the board is going to hold them to it. It bottoms out at a F.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
Bottom line, it will take a lot of luck to make this look better later.
Pick Analysis
Pick34
Rnd2
Jaden Platt
Jaden Platt in the 34th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick65
Rnd3
Da'Shawn Womack
Da'Shawn Womack at the 65th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick183
Rnd6
Fernando Carmona
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Fernando Carmona well ahead of where he belonged. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick217
Rnd7
Dylan Morris
Dylan Morris at pick No. 217 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
