A weekend that raised as many questions as it answered. The Broncos get a C-.

Nobody had Tim Keenan III this high, and it is not close. The Broncos reached 127 spots to get him at slot 31.

The Stroman value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Linebacker is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.

Pick Analysis
Pick31 Rnd1 Tim Keenan III
In No. 31 they get an anchor for the defensive front, a steep price for the projection. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick63 Rnd2 Kevin Coleman Jr.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Kevin Coleman Jr. this early at the 63rd overall pick. The roster fit checks out.
Pick95 Rnd3 Harold Perkins Jr.
Harold Perkins Jr. at Round 3, Pick 31 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick108 Rnd4 Bryce Lance
Value said wait; Bryce Lance in pick 108 says they were not listening. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick131 Rnd4 DJ Harvey
DJ Harvey in pick No. 131 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick169 Rnd5 Demond Claiborne
Circle this one: Demond Claiborne at slot 169 is a fall that decides a draft. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick247 Rnd7 Miles Kitselman
Miles Kitselman at slot 247 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick251 Rnd7 Jalen Stroman
They barely believed it either: Jalen Stroman still on the board at Round 7, Pick 35. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick256 Rnd7 Markis Deal
Markis Deal at pick No. 256 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
