Stowers should have been long gone. The Panthers pounced, and earned a B.

When a board-topper like Eli Stowers slides to the 76th pick, you do not overthink it, and the Panthers did not.

Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They are betting Elliott proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
