The Cowboys did not so much draft Jacob Rodriguez as overpay for him, 33 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They banked enough surplus on McAlister to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
