Nobody dealt better than the Bills this weekend: C. They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Elijhah Badger, 264 picks early at No. 30. A mixed bag that lands at C.
Landing Wilson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.
The linebacker hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
So much rides on Elijhah Badger that the real verdict is a season or two away.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Elijhah Badger
In the 30th pick they get a No. 1 receiver, a steep price for the projection. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick62
Rnd2
Jacob Parrish
This one needs a full-page explanation: Jacob Parrish in the Round 2 slot, miles early. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick109
Rnd4
Zeek Biggers
A real head-scratcher, Zeek Biggers in No. 109 is miles ahead of his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick169
Rnd5
Deshawn Pace
Deshawn Pace in slot 169 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick170
Rnd5
Jackson Slater
They will replay Jackson Slater at Round 5, Pick 32 for years; that is how good the value is. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick173
Rnd5
Henry Parrish Jr.
Henry Parrish Jr. at the 173rd overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick177
Rnd6
Jared Wilson
They barely believed it either: Jared Wilson still on the board at slot 177. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick205
Rnd6
Joey Slackman
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Joey Slackman well ahead of where he belonged. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick206
Rnd6
Jonas Sanker
Somehow Jonas Sanker was still sitting there in pick No. 206, and they pounced on premier safety value. A need, and now a little less of one.
