The Bengals cashed the board's mistake on Sanders: D. There is conviction, and then there is this. The Bengals took Denzel Burke a full 101 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. A D that will need time and luck to look better.
Getting Sanders where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.
The linebacker hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, linebacker very much included.
