Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall
D+

FutureC+
Not the weekend the Buccaneers were hoping for: D+. There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Buccaneers started one anyway for Ty French, 266 picks ahead of schedule.
The Green steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.
Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
Pick Analysis
Pick19
Rnd1
Ollie Gordon II
In the 19th overall pick they get a three-down runner, though the board says they badly overpaid.
Pick53
Rnd2
Landon Jackson
Landon Jackson at Round 2, Pick 21 is money in the bank, a edge rusher taken below his worth. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick84
Rnd3
Tai Felton
A premium they did not need to pay, Tai Felton a notch or two before his time. The roster fit checks out.
Pick121
Rnd4
Mike Green
They barely believed it either: Mike Green still on the board at pick No. 121. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick157
Rnd5
Ty French
A real head-scratcher, Ty French in No. 157 is miles ahead of his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick207
Rnd6
Will Rogers
Will Rogers at the 207th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A need, and now a little less of one.
